2025 : NEW YEAR, NEW TRENDS
Happy New Year to our Space Stylists & Co. Community! We are feeling optimistic about the upcoming year, and are excited for some new opportunities and fun announcements!
A new year brings feelings of reflection and anticipation. As we are well on our way into January, we wanted to share some of the expected interior design trends for 2025. We have pulled these from a variety of sources, and linked each article so that you can investigate further yourself, and see what other trends the authors expect to make a statement this year!
Earth Tones: These have been making a comeback in interiors in the past few years, and according to Architectural Digest, they are here to stay. Brown has replaced the cool greys that we have seen in previous years, and deep moody hues are continuing to be an interiors favorite.
Layered Lighting: We are a huge fan of this trend, and have already discussed some of the benefits of adding different light sources to a room in previous blog posts. Better Homes and Gardens agrees with these ideas in trend #12 listed as Layered Lighting. They mention that homeowners are requesting spaces to be multi-functional, which corresponds with what we have seen as a result of COVID and work-from-home requirements.
New Nostalgia: HGTV highlights a plethora of 2025 design predictions, but one trend they mentioned in a few different ways was the re-appearance of vintage accessories and furniture. Incorporating quirky pieces from the 90s or going back to more ornate/traditional items you might find in a thrift store are taking the spotlight this year. Focus on custom, and how your home can be unique to you!
We can’t wait to find out which of these design trends shines brightest in 2025, but if there is one that you love and want in your home, fill out our information form here and let’s get chatting!
