This family recently welcomed their first baby, which also led to more frequent visits from out-of-town family, requiring a guest room suited to host family overnight. With the purchase of a new home, the guest room was dated with a yellow-tan carpet and walls. The client wanted a Guest Room that felt like a breath of fresh air, while incorporating some unique elements to impress their guests.

The carpet in the home was already being updated to a more modern look, paired with the walls being painted Snowbound by Sherwin Williams. The decorative woven wall baskets, faux leather accent pillows, and dried wedding bouquet on the large window create a natural and minimalist feel. The mauve chair was a cherished piece from the husband’s grandparents, which the Space Stylists complimented with the floral canvas wall art, and cotton/grass arrangement in the adjacent vase.

The refresh was a low-budget project, but family of the clients helped by thrifting for the unique baskets. Space Stylists & Co was honored to take these treasures and design the basket wall layout. The grey side tables and end dresser act as subtle bookends to the room, and the neutral side lamps (with USB plug ins!) allow for the floral curtains to shine. Family can now visit the newest addition to the family, knowing there is space for them to unpack, relax, and stay awhile.
